Like her colleagues, Deborah’s industry experience is diverse and includes an extensive background in commercial and corporate aviation, FBO training, risk management, and insurance. She has served as an in-flight and operations manager for a large charter airline, flight attendant for United Airlines, and as the Manager of Education and Safety Training for the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) in Washington, D.C. Deborah was also tasked as the project manager that developed a proprietary software training program for the Million Air FBO chain. She is also a veteran small business owner, having spent 10 years as an underwriter in the insurance industry, and as the founder and owner of Diversified Aviation Consulting (DAC).
She holds a commercial pilot’s license with instrument and multi-engine ratings, serves as part time adjunct faculty for Embry Riddle, a volunteer FAA Fast Team member, and is an IS-BAO accredited auditor. As a partner in the Aviation Training Academy, Deborah’s brings her first-hand knowledge of air carrier operations, private charter aircraft, general aviation operations, military/civilian interface, FBO management, maintenance repair station training, safety training, human factors training, and customer service training.
DeborahAnn is an esteemed graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science with a specialization in Safety Management. She is also a graduate of Virginia Tech where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Risk Management.
She also participates in NATA, NBAA, AOPA, ACSF and AMT Society events as a frequent presenter.
